Solar hot water systems are a great way of generating some of your own energy. They gather energy radiated by the sun and convert it into useful heat in the form of hot water. Solar technology is the most cost effective technology of the future; a clean, environmentally friendly form of energy which also offers clear cost savings. This is why an ever increasing number of homeowners are choosing a hot water supply system using solar energy: Especially with the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) coming into force. A well sited system can reduce your hot water bills by 50% and provide up to 70% of your annual hot water needs.
There are two different types of system: flat plate and evacuated tubes. Due mainly to rugged reliability and aesthetic appeal, we do not fit evacuated tubes.
We have spent considerable time evaluating various systems for reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness. We now only supply and fit "SCHUCO" systems. Schuco is a large German company, known and respected throughout the world for quality and innovation. These systems can be either roof mounted, ground mounted or roof integrated. Choosing Hightae Heating to supply and install a domestic solar hot water or pool heating system guarantees that you will get an optimum performing system and a quality service at a competitive price.
In addition to the basic system for providing hot water only, we have developed a system based around a large "thermal store" incorporating various heat sources, along with solar panels, to provide both heating and hot water.
This system is an elegant roof integrated or roof mounted design, which is planning friendly. The plat plate collector has a high-tec, extremely efficient selective coating. This records a massive 96% absorption rate, emitting only 8% of the heat received. It is the complete solar solution. The system is also maintenance free. No scheduled service required. Although we would recommend an inspection after five years to check heat transfer fluid. Full safety features are incorporated - boil and freeze protection. In addition, the cylinder maximum temperature can be set. We would, however, in the interest of economy, recommend that the temperature be set high and a thermostatic mixing valve be incorporated to control the hot water temperature.

We have had many years experience in installing both large and small solar systems from single panel basic systems to complex multi panel systems with shared usage.
